Damon Bossino


Damon was educated at Bayside School, Gibraltar and completed his Bar Vocational Course at the Inns of Court School of Law.  He was called to the bar by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in England and then in Gibraltar in 1995 and was a member of the Bar Council in Gibraltar from 1999 to 2007.

Damon has previously specialised largely in dispute resolution work which included both criminal and civil litigation and has appeared in all Gibraltar courts including the Magistrates' Court, the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal.  In the civil litigation field he has dealt with a wide variety of cases involving personal injuries, medical negligence, admiralty and breaches of health and safety regulations.  Damon also advises regularly in relation to probate and employment law matters appearing at the Industrial Tribunal in Gibraltar.

Damon's practice also encompasses a considerable amount of commercial and non-contentious work, and he has recently been involved in high value transactions, dealing with numerous major banks and other lending institutions.

Damon was elected as a member of Gibraltar's Parliament at the last general election held on 8 December 2011 and has shadow responsibility for government ministries such as Financial Services, Inward Investment, the Port, Tourism, Civil Aviation, Transport, Employment, Training and Social Security.  Damon is also the Deputy Leader of his party.
